The Youth Evangelism Fund
Good News, Young People in Gloucester Diocese are entitled to access up to £14,782 from National Church of England Funds to run activities that enable their peers to explore faith!!
The Fund will affirm projects and proposals that meet any of the following:
· demonstrate the love and justice of God in practical ways
· encourage the nurture and faith-development of young Christians,
· are creative, and are culturally appropriate for young people
· have a “local” focus - towards young people in a local community, area, or district.
· start something new (or build on what already exists in a new way).
· are based on partnership and co-operation between different churches and organisations, and that form part of a wider strategy for the Church’s mission in an area or community.
· have been well-researched, and which draw on examples of good practice
Projects and proposals should enable young people to :
· encounter the Good News of Jesus and to discover this at their own pace and in their own way
· participation fully in the life of the Church.
· have a significant part in planning, creating and fulfilling the plans
This fund is therefore very important as this is the first time substantial funds have been made for young people to develop projects and activities to reach their friends and is something we all need to engage with!!
